Had a lot of family stuff to do today, too. I still accomplished some very important things today though.

First, I proofed Project Bestiary and it’s off to my editor. I had give my editor an apology in advance because this one’s going to be challenging. It’s super experimental with a non-traditional POV style with lots of shifts and narrative jumps. If I pull it off, the book will be a giant sugar rush. It’s a writing advice book inspired by Dante’s Inferno and Shadow of the Colossus. My editor is always up for a new challenge. Can’t wait to unveil it, but it will probably be the last beast mode book I publish due to timing.

Anyway, I also got Project Writing Tips off to my designer. It’ll be done Oct 14, probably delivered while I’m on the road.

I also received the penultimate illustration from my designer for Project Atlas. She killed this one, and it’s almost done. She has one more map which she thinks she can do in 1-2 days, followed by a final world map. She should be done this week for sure absent any intervening circumstances.

I felt good enough about her progress that I decided to finally pull the trigger on the cover, so I sent instructions to my cover designer on that as well. He’ll deliver the drafts on Oct. 14. That means that I’ll have to publish when I’m on the road, so I’ll need to have all the info on-hand so I can do it quickly. Only takes about 30 min per title. Anyhow, expect Project Writing Tips and Project Atlas to launch on the same day.

Also, I went ahead and ordered the “Beast Mode Collection” book cover. This will contain all of my beast mode books. It’ll be a limited edition book, maybe with a few extra bonuses, and you’ll get all the books in one. I’ll probably sell it direct and on Kobo (and any other place that pays 65-70% over $9.99),

I also uploaded the next week of Writing Tip of the Day so I don’t have to worry about that while I’m on the road.

I also did some more video planning. I’m going to be doing a video on “how to write while traveling” that my editor and I are brainstorming. It’ll be a vlog-style video and totally different than anything you’ve seen from me before. I’ll be tracking my progress, struggles, and successes while making progress on The Good Necromancer Book 2 while traveling…yikes.

ALSO (!) — be on the lookout at The Creative Penn tomorrow. I believe my (second) interview with Joanna will be live Monday morning, but I can’t remember if it’s 12th or the 19th. We’ll find out! 🙂

Anyhoo…I’ve got a book to announce!
